This idea cropped up after talking with someone else (i'll leave her anonymous, she can pipe up if she likes). There should be a central clearing house for all things troy on the web.
A wiki format would work well for this as the business owner, or artist or whatever, can make themselves known, and write their own stuff, instead of having one person put the whole thing together. People can add information that they may know about that others don't.
This would help direct internet traffic to to troy, make searching for troy related items be easier (I always have a hell of a time for this).
The only problem I see would be vandalism and spam. Wiki is an open format, and vandalism happens. However with a strong wiki community, these things should get cleared up by the owners of articles.
spam is largely cleared up by requiring login before posting or changing an article.
I think there is plenty of sftware and free services to put this together. I'll do it if this idea gets highly voted. But concerns and ideas for making it a place people go to first are really needed.
