Troy had a number of low cost movie theaters in the past. Further, the Madison has been opened and closed so many times its hard to keep track of its current status.

The cine10 in Colonie closed, and its 2nd run movies were only 3 dollars.

While I agree a movie theater is what we need, it needs to be a diffrent experience than just a 2nd run theater. It needs to b an experience that will attract poeple from outside of troy and away from the mall (or even specturm).

I go to school out in Salem, Ma and there is a movie theater downtown in Salem called Cinema Salem. It has three screens and shows current movies a few dollars cheaper than the big theaters. Cinema Salem is very popular here in Salem even though the mall is 10 minutes away. I think that for it to work in Troy, there needs to be more activity downtown after the sun sets.

This is a good idea. Though what I'd really like to see, is for someone to restore proctors.
